Accessibility

Our Commitment

We have spent our careers helping people reconnect with the world around them, so accessibility is personal to us. Many of our patients live with hearing loss, and some also have vision, mobility, or cognitive needs. Our goal is simple: every patient, every time, should be able to find information, reach our team, and receive care without unnecessary barriers.

Website Accessibility

We strive to make this website usable for as many people as possible, including those who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or captions. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, as our standard.

Our ongoing efforts include:

  • Descriptive text for meaningful images
  • Clear headings and page structure for easier navigation
  • Keyboard access to menus, links, and forms
  • Readable fonts and sufficient color contrast
  • Captions or transcripts for videos we produce
  • Forms with clear labels and helpful error messages
  • Pages that resize well on phones, tablets, and computers

Accessibility is an ongoing process. Some content, such as videos, maps, or forms provided by outside companies, may not be fully within our control. We review the site regularly and work to fix issues as soon as we learn about them.

Communicating With Our Team

We know phone calls are not always the easiest option, especially with hearing loss. You can reach us in whichever way works best for you:

  • Phone: 704-412-7975
  • Relay services: Dial 711 to connect through a telecommunications relay service
  • Website: Send us a message through the contact form on our site
  • Appointment requests: Use the appointment form on our website
  • In person: 11121 Carmel Commons Blvd., STE 150, Charlotte, NC 28226

During Your Visit

Our Doctors of Audiology are experts in communication, and we adapt to you. At your appointment, you can expect us to:

  • Face you when speaking, in a well-lit, quiet room
  • Speak clearly and at a comfortable pace, and repeat or rephrase anything when asked
  • Write down key information, results, and instructions
  • Provide printed copies of care instructions and recommendations
  • Welcome a family member, caregiver, or interpreter at your appointment
  • Allow extra time when you need it

If you have a specific communication or physical need, please let us know when you schedule. Telling us ahead of time helps us prepare, but you can ask at any point during your visit.

Care Beyond the Office

If traveling to our clinic is difficult, we offer options to bring care to you:

  • Concierge and in-home audiology: Evaluations and treatment at your home, office, nursing home, or other location of your choice, scheduled by request
  • Virtual Tinnitus Coaching: One-on-one sessions by HIPAA-compliant Zoom or telephone

Share Your Feedback

If you have trouble using any part of our website, or if something at our clinic made your visit harder than it should be, we want to hear from you. Please tell us the page or situation, the problem you ran into, and the best way to reach you. We will respond as soon as possible and can provide the information you need in another format while we work on a fix.

Call 704-412-7975 or send us a message through our website.‍
